Meet Solace

Meet Solace! Yet another young buck on the trail (we love it!); he is 19-years old and from the good ol’ sunshine state. Solace always wanted to get into backpacking, but found it difficult to do in his home state of Florida because there are no mountains there!

Last year, he got on the Appalachian Trail and went SoBo (southbound), meaning he began his journey with the mighty Katahdin! This is a huge feat to go from not hiking mountains to tackling the highest peak in the state of Maine.

Wanting to finish what he started, Solace got back on trail this year to go NoBo (northbound) with plans to summit Katahdin again before heading off to college to study engineering!

Here’s to Solace, and his reminder to us all to get out there and go do hard things!
