Meet Youngblood
Meet Youngblood from Virginia! We had the pleasure of sitting down for a few moments, and providing Trail Magic at our secret little spot on the Appalachian Trail; Nestled between massive pines as to avoid the light, afternoon rain, we were fortunate enough to share some time (and watermelon) with Youngblood.
We provide the snacks - it’s the hikers who provide the real magic!
Fresh out of high school, Youngblood is shockingly only 18-years old, but most definitely has an old soul, with an endless well of wisdom! Youngblood got on the trail and has yet to find his “why”; he expressed that everyone has their own hike, and as long as you are out here - that’s the most important thing.
He started hiking with his dad at 7-years old and is currently taking a break from school before starting college and studying to become a Field Biologist. Youngblood is pushing an average of 18-miles a day (that’s what being a track athlete prior to thru-hiker will do!).
Youngblood is a LASHER (long-ass-section-hiker) who started out at the Delaware Water Gap and will be hitting Katahdin before we know it! Best of luck as you continue this journey both on the AT, and in Life - we cannot wait to see what amazing feats you will accomplish along the way - Cheers!
Happy Trails, Youngblood!
