Meet Soups

Meet Soups- he got his name because he is known to eat any of the soup leftovers at the AMC huts, and because he cold soaks all of his food. Cold soaking is such an awesome, fuel efficient way to make food while on the trail! Soups was heading SoBo when we met him.

Soups has lived around the AT his whole life, living in NJ and NH, and going to school in VT. He felt he  needed to see it for himself so, he decided to hike it. Soups said the transition of learning to pace himself has been one of the biggest challengers since day hiking and thru hiking are totally different beasts.
