Meet Guy

Meet Guy! We were lucky to hike into him while doing the Tom, Field, Willey loop.  He is a local to The Whites and is a real deal Mountain Man.  Guy is currently working on his Over 70 W48. He was the 7th person ever recorded to hike the GRID and is almost done completing his 3rd GRID. For those who don’t know what a GRID is it means you’ve hiked all NH48 4000 footers in every month of the year. That’s 576 peaks!

Guy works at the AMC Highland Center that he helped open in Crawford Notch. He is also a part of the AVSAR and PVSAR Search and Rescue Teams. See what we mean, a real Mountain Man! His dedication and love for The Whites shines through in everything he does and is.

As an avid hiker and man of the mountains, running into Guy on the trails and listening to his stories about hiking all over the country was fascinating! He is filled with so much knowledge about the mountains, both near and far.

Guy is a prime example that age is just a number and we should never, ever, stop pursuing the goals and dreams that set out hearts on fire! We can’t wait to see Guy again and watch him continue to crush his goals!
