Meet Charlie Brown + Snoopy

Meet Charlie Brown and Snoopy! We ran into this duo while hiking down the Beaver Brook Trail and were able to chat with them for a bit near the Beaver Brook Shelter.

Charlie Brown used to live on an island in Alaska and then found himself in Seattle. His love for hiking began after him and his son started hiking smaller peaks together. After retiring from one job and being let go from another, he decided that NOW was the time to hike a goal he has had for awhile - The Appalachian Trail!

Last year Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and Charlie Brown’s brother hiked all of Georgia together. Then his son came and hiked 1,600-miles with him! What an incredible support system!

Charlie Brown said Snoopy is doing amazing on the hike so far and even got a luxury stay in a hotel while Charlie hiked Katahdin (dogs aren’t allowed in Baxter State Park). Right now, Charlie and Snoopy are heading to finish up the remainder of their hike together after doing some flipflopping!
